PHOTOS OF THE WEEK: Last week of May

Made it home for the weekend, and after a ton of sitting and driving, was able to get out and enjoy the weather a bit. I'll be very happy to be back for good. The wildflowers were still blooming around 4500 feet, and leftover snow from avalanches and slides this past winter made for some wonderful contrast to the fresh green of the young brush, and the dark grey of the granite rock.

I googled "White small flower with pinkish streaks" and it told me that this may be a pacific lanceleaf spring beauty.

I haven't yet seen a more vibrant patch of Paintbrush than this patch at 4700' or so.
